What a way to spend a Sunday…..
Pre-children Sundays were lazy, relaxing affairs. Those days are long gone and on Sunday we were woken at 5am by Sophie, our soon to be 6-year-old, rather excited about her party at Playzone. Despite her being sent back to bed (on more than one occasion!) we were slightly bleary eyed when the party started at 10.30am, Sophie was, as ever, full of beans!
Playzone has several slides, one being a drop slide that I have had my eye on for several months. Sophie said I was not allowed to go on it and my wife, Ali, couldn’t be persuaded but one of the other dads was keen. Full of enthusiasm we climbed the stairs to the top at which point the enthusiasm waned slightly! With Ali positioned at the bottom to video, there was no turning back without being totally humiliated, so I sat on the top and dropped...
