Pancakes all Round
Today, Tuesday 16 February, is of course Pancake Day and I for one am very excited about making pancakes for my dinner tonight when I get home (although I know they will never taste as good as when my Mummy makes them!).
Shrove Tuesday was the last day before the beginning of Lent, on Ash Wednesday. It became know as Pancake Day as making and eating foods like this on the Tuesday was considered a last feast of ingredients like sugar, fat and eggs before Lent.
So tradition to you or not, make sure you flip some pancakes tonight when you get home and top with whatever you fancy!
