After much planning and last minute model changes, Lauren and I recently headed off to Harrogate for the start of a two-day photo shoot for Frank Thomas motorcycle clothing.

The sun was shining and the skies were blue, perfect conditions for a shoot you may think... But, unfortunately there had also been an unpredicted dusting of snow overnight too, not a great start! However, one thing that you can’t control is the weather so we carried on regardless and travelled in convoy to our first location.

First stop – a rural road near Harrogate, perfect for touring shots. With gorgeous views and with the snow melting at a remarkable rate, the shoot began. Tim Keeton was the man behind the camera and with his photography experience in the motorcycle industry, we were confident that we would get the shots that were needed.

Second stop – Leeds city centre. With a busy urban feel it was a complete contrast to our previous location, perfect yet again! We set to work with different models and bikes, moving from location to location in and around the city centre. We even took advantage of the fading light and shot some products in the dark. May sound a little strange, but we ended up with some stunning results.

Day two took us into Higham. A pretty village location with a lovely little coffee shop. Great stop for hot drinks but more importantly was an ideal place to start our shoot. Although the sunshine and blue skies had turned overcast, we carried on working hard as Tim kept snapping away. With plenty more outfit changes to do, we travelled to nearby villages to find yet more suitable locations and backdrops. The stunning village of Weston Underwood gave us some great areas to work with including a country pub.

The day came to a close with some action shots near to the Thomas Sports Group offices in Finedon. With over 2,000 shots taken I think we can safely say our shoot was a success! Lauren and I would like to take this opportunity to say a great big thank you to everyone who was involved over the two days - especially Tim for doing such a great job.
