A weekend to remember!
Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better – after an amazing time in Misano – last weekend I headed to Brno in the Czech Republic for round nine of the World Superbike Championship. It was mega!
Roger and I flew into Prague and drove 150 miles down to Brno. Now for someone who hates travelling, the journey was actually really nice – so many amazing views and hardly any traffic. It was great to actually see a bit of the country for once.
Speaking of amazing "views", I have never been in a country which is so densely populated by beautiful women! I couldn’t believe it, they were just everywhere! I didn’t know where to look next...
Still, as a true PR professional from a Lincolnshire-based agency, I wasn’t distracted by the scantly clad women – not too much anyway – and I managed to get everything sorted on the BMW front. I conducted some interesting interviews with various members of the team in preparation for Silverstone and managed to get all reports published and distributed on time without any problems.
Also, I wasn’t due to fly back to the UK until Monday afternoon. So, once I had finished working on the Sunday, I headed out into Brno with a few guys from the team to watch the World Cup final. Brno is actually a really nice place with lots to do. It’s well worth a visit.
To top things off, I even managed to bump into my all-time racing hero, Valentino Rossi, at Brno airport! Now what were the chances of that happeing!? (And, no Antony, it’s not Dappy from N-Dubz!
