James Toseland takes the press for a ride
With just over a week to go until the World Superbike Championship visits Silverstone, RBP arranged for James Toseland to take two lucky journalists around the new and improved circuit on the back of a Yamaha R1.
BKS, long-time sponsors of James and clients of RBP, provided brand new leathers, boots and gloves for the journalists, whilst Motrax provided them with Caberg helmets.
As this was James’ first time around the new configuration, he took it relatively easy, but both journalists were still a bit wobbly on their feet when they came back in to the pits after their three laps out on track. They went wobbly once again when James mentioned they’d probably hit about 160mph on more than one occasion!
After a spot of lunch it was time for James to sit down for a series of interviews with a range of national, regional and specialist press, before heading for a helicopter ride with the BBC to talk them around the new layout. Coverage should start appearing in the next couple of days so keep your eyes peeled!
