Not your average office...
Google is renowned for its super-relaxed LA offices, where the idea is to encourage people to be creative, even if it means taking time out from the working day. Now, Google has opened a new London office, which looks every bit as exciting as its US counterpart. Quirky touches include: meeting rooms filled with sofas to stretch out on; whiteboard covered walls for doodling on whenever creative urges strike; rooms stocked with toys and games consoles; a coffee 'lab' serving 19 different blends; corridors with futuristic UV lighting; music listening stations; and a rowing boat in the middle of the floor.
There's also a gym, sound-proofed music room complete with instruments and free sushi and tapas bars. While I doubt I'd actually get any work done if the RBP office was like that, it's a really interesting concept which has clearly paid off for Google!
